45 Russian diplomats have left Poland as part of a recent expulsion decision by the Warsaw authorities. Despite this, Russian Ambassador to Poland Sergey Andreev said that the consulate would continue to work in the country, and the Polish authorities could not make any specific claims to the diplomats expelled from the country, RIA Novosti reports.
The allegation that their activities here did not correspond to the status in accordance with the Vienna Convention is not confirmed by anything, – emphasised the ambassador.
Earlier, the Polish authorities decided to expel about 40 representatives of the Russian diplomatic mission from the country. The reason for the expulsion of diplomats was their “activities that do not correspond to their diplomatic status”, which in the language of diplomacy means espionage.
