The delivery of medical supplies to Kazakhstan was funded by the German Federal Ministry of Health.
WHO secured the supply of medical care to Kazakhstan in the amount of US $ 1.16 million with financial support from the Ministry of Health of the Federal Republic of Germany, Total.kz reports with reference to the press service of the WHO Country Office in Kazakhstan.
WHO has supplied 3.7 million medical masks for distribution to healthcare facilities. The delivery of the medical consignment was funded by the German Federal Ministry of Health for the non-proliferation of COVID-19. The cargo was handed over to the Public Health Department of Nur-Sultan.
Speaking about a joint project with the German government to provide medical care, Senior Medical Adviser to the WHO Country Office in Kazakhstan, Dr. Omar Saleh, noted that “this strategic partnership allows us to provide support to Kazakhstani medical workers in this difficult time.”
