Georgia’s trade deficit at $2.9 bln in January-July of 2021-Statistics Office
Georgia’s trade deficit was $2.934 billion in January-July 2021 compared with $2.514 billion in the same period in 2020 and $2.437 billion in January-June this year, the National Statistics Office said.
The country’s trade turnover totalled $7.485 billion, 21.8 percent more than in the first seven months of 2020. In the first half of 2021, the trade turnover was $6.212 billion.
Exports equalled $2.276 billion, 27.8 percent up from January-July 2020, while imports stood at $5.209 billion, 19.3 percent more than in the same period last year.
The country’s trade deficit in 2020 was $818.6 million, up from $790 million in 2019.
