The Magistrates’ Court of the Tagansky District of Moscow imposed a fine on Google of 4 million rubles for refusing to remove content that the Russian authorities consider prohibited. This is stated in the Telegram of the united press service of the capital’s courts.
The American corporation was found guilty under the article on violation of the procedure for restricting access to information (Article 13.41 of the Administrative Code).
The company was sentenced to an administrative fine in the amount of four million rubles , – it says in the message.
In the future, the court will consider four more protocols against the tech giant. Three of them were drawn up due to the refusal to remove content recognized as prohibited, another – due to the refusal to remove information calling for extremist activity.
In addition, the social networks Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, VKontakte and Odnoklassniki, as well as the Telegram messenger received similar fines.
