FDI in Azerbaijan’s economy rise to $2.6 bln in first half-Central Bank
Foreign direct investment (FDI) in Azerbaijan’s economy rose to $1.636 billion in the first half of 2021, 25.1 percent more than in the same period last year, the Central Bank said.
According to the bank, 82.8 percent of FDI was invested in the oil and gas sector.
The amount of FDI in the non-oil sector amounted to $453.7 million in January-June 2021, 38.1 percent down from the first half of 2020.
FDI was $4.53 billion in 2020, 6 percent up from 2019.
