From September 20 to 24, at the Donguz training ground in the Orenburg region, a joint military anti-terrorist command and staff exercise of the armed forces of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization member states “Peace Mission 2021” will be held.

Over 100 soldiers and officers of the Tajik army under the leadership of the deputy commander of the ground forces of the Ministry of Defense of the republic, Colonel Fatkhullo Inoyatullozoda, went to the exercise site, spokesman for the Tajik Defense Ministry Faridun Mahmadalizoda told Asia-Plus.

In total, about 5.5 thousand servicemen and over 1.2 thousand units of weapons, military and special equipment were involved in the exercises.

The military from Russia, China, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan are participating in the exercises. For the first time, the military contingent of Belarus will take part in the exercise.
