President Sadyr Japarov addressed the 76th session of the UN General Assembly on September 21, the president’s press service reported.
Kyrgyzstan is interested and is always ready to make contribution into international efforts to address problems common for humankind, President Japarov said.
“For this reason Kyrgyzstan bids to join the UN Human Rights Council in 2023-2025 and non-permanent members of UN Security Council in 2027-2028. I urge all UN member states to support us during elections,” President Japarov said.
“I would like to underline that in centuries-old relations with neighbors Kyrgyzstan always stands for equitable dialogue and mutually beneficial cooperation, resolution of all discrepancies exceptionally through talks. We suggest to hold UN-Central Asia Summit in 2022 in order to sum up outcomes of mutual cooperation and to identify joint plans for future for the purpose of development and security of Central Asia,” President Japarov said.
