Sadyr Zhaparov signed the Law “On protecting the health of citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic from the consequences of tobacco, nicotine consumption and exposure to ambient tobacco smoke and aerosol.” This was reported by the press service of the head of state.

The law was adopted by the Jogorku Kenesh on July 29, 2021.

Reportedly, the purpose of the document is to protect public health from the consequences of tobacco consumption, as well as the implementation of the Framework Convention of the World Health Organization (WHO) on tobacco control.
