In Russia, on October 3, a law came into force requiring foreign NPOs in the Russian Federation to annually report on their work, income and expenses, and activities. Also, the law prohibits registering an organization and its branches in residential premises. Corresponding changes have been made to the law “On non-profit organizations”.
According to the requirements of the document, from now on, NPO-foreign agents and their subdivisions are obliged every year reportat the Ministry of Justice on its activities, income and expenses. Also, these organizations must provide documents on the basis of which their activities are carried out.
Structural divisions of NPO-foreign agents will have to submit reports on their work to the authorized bodies. The reports must indicate the amounts and sources of funds received and their spending.
If the organization is banned by a court decision, but at the same time continues its work, it will be liquidated by the court at the suit of the Ministry of Justice.
