Georgian inflation up 12.3% year-on-year in September-Statistics Office
Consumer prices in Georgia were up 0.2 percent in September from a month earlier after rising 0.7 percent in August this year and in comparison with 0.7 percent inflation in September 2020, the State Statistics Office said.
Annual inflation in September was 12.3 percent, down from a record 12.8 percent in August this year and up from 3.8 percent in September 2020.
Georgia’s National Bank targets annual inflation at 3 percent, but says that the country would exceed the target this year.
