The Defence Minister of the occupied Tskhinvali region (South Ossetia) Ibrahim Gaseev received an invitation to take part in the drills from his Abkhaz counterpart Vladimir Anua.
The invitation states that the military drills were planned on the basis of an agreement between the commanders of the armed forces of the Russian occupied Abkhazia and South Ossetia.
Vladimir Anua expressed hope that ‘the joint military exercises will have a positive impact on the combat and operational readiness of the armed forces of Abkhazia and South Ossetia,’ the local Ossetian media reports.
