During the presidential elections in Uzbekistan, which will be held on October 24, video cameras will be installed only at one site in each district and city, the Podrobno.uz correspondent reports.

“Today, based on foreign experience and available opportunities, for the presidential elections in Uzbekistan, which will be held on October 24, appropriate measures are being taken to install two video cameras and the necessary equipment at one of the exemplary polling stations in each district and city. to install 414 surveillance cameras in 207 districts and cities. This is 147% more than in 2019,” said Bakhrom Kochkarov, deputy chairman of the Central Election Commission.

According to him, 207 polling stations, where 414 CCTV cameras will be installed, were selected by local khokimiyats in cooperation with the Ministry of Information Technology and Communications.
