Belarus plans to start full-cycle production of the Russian Sputnik V vaccine by the end of the year, Health Minister Dmitry Pinevich told reporters on the sidelines of the 34th meeting of the Council for Cooperation in Health of the Commonwealth of Independent States in Minsk, Belta has learned.
“The full production cycle of Sputnik V will begin by the end of this year on Aranskaya street at the Belmedpreparatov areas,” Dmitry Pinevich said.
The minister did not specify in what volumes it is planned to produce the vaccine in a full cycle at the production site in Minsk. “Our main task now is for it to be a high-quality vaccine. It must fully replicate the existing vaccine,” he said.
Dmitry Pinevich stressed that for the production that will start producing the Sputnik V vaccine, then it will not be difficult to localize the Sputnik Light vaccine.
