Georgia’s trade deficit at $4.1 bln in January-September of 2021-Statistics Office
Georgia’s trade deficit was $4.047 billion in January-September 2021 compared with $3.314 billion in the same period in 2020 and $3.467 billion in January-August this year, the National Statistics Office said.
The country’s trade turnover totalled $10.010 billion, 22.3 percent more than in the first nine months of 2020. In January-August of 2021, the trade turnover was $8.678 billion.
Exports equalled $2.981 billion, 24 percent up from January-September 2020, while imports stood at $7.028 billion, 21.6 percent more than in the same period last year.
The country’s trade deficit in 2020 was $818.6 million, up from $790 million in 2019.
