Azerbaijan’s trade surplus at $6.3 billion in January-September-Customs Office
Azerbaijan’s positive trade balance was $6.3 billion in the first nine months of 2021, the State Customs Office said.
The country’s trade turnover totalled $22.97 billion, 24.8 percent up from January-September 2020.
Exports equalled $14.6 billion, 38.3 percent up from January-September 2020, while imports stood at $8.3 billion, 6.7 percent up from the same period last year.
Main exports were products of the oil and gas sector, while main imports were tobacco, pharmaceuticals, fertilisers, wood, vehicles and spare parts.
The country’s main trade partners in the first nine months of this year were Italy, Turkey and Russia.
