Azerbaijan increases electricity production to 19.4 bln kW/h in January-September
Azerbaijan increased electricity production by 7 percent year-on-year to 19.4 billion kilowatt-hours (kWh) in January-September, the State Statistics Committee said.
Thermal power plants increased electricity production by 7 percent year-on-year to 17.6 billion kWh, hydropower plants – by 14 percent to 977 million kWh, solar plants – by 15.9 percent to 42.9 million kWh. Wind power plants generated 62.7 million kWh of electricity, 10.2 percent less than in January-September 2020.
Electricity production declined by 1.1 percent year-on-year to 25.8 kWh in 2020.
