In the Ishkashim region of GBAO, more than 40 head of cattle became victims of the tiger.
According to the country’s Committee for Emergency Situations, the predator attacked livestock in the early morning of October 20.
“On October 20, at about 4:00 am, a tiger attacked livestock in a stable in the village of Zong, Ishkashim region. As a result, the predator tore to pieces 31 small cattle, another 8 heads of small and 2 heads of cattle were injured, ”the press service of the country’s Emergency Situations Committee said.
In order to protect livestock from attacks by predators, the Committee offers the following recommendations to rural residents living in the mountainous and foothill regions of the country:
– free grazing of livestock is inadmissible. Grazing should take place only during daylight hours and only accompanied by a shepherd, who should have personal protective equipment and scare away predators. At night, livestock should take refuge in safe yards;
