President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov had bilateral talks with participation of the two delegations in Ashgabat on Oct 25, Akorda said.
“After a slight decrease in bilateral trade against the backdrop of a global pandemic, an increase in mutual trade by more than 30% was seen by the end of 8 months of this year. Naturally, this is not the limit of our capabilities. We have big reserves in energy, transport and logistics, agriculture, industrial fields,” the President of Kazakhstan said.
Tokayev also expressed support for Turkmen side’s proposal to hold the Days of Culture of Turkmenistan in Kazakhstan in 2022.
He also said Kazakhstan is ready to increase the supply of a range of products for a total amount of more than $130 million to Turkmenistan.
