The Almaty International Airport took measures in connection with the shortage of aviation fuel in the country to ensure the smooth operation of the air harbor.
“It was decided to limit the volume of refueling of regular passenger flights and suspend refueling of one-time charter flights,” said Nailya Zhabagina, head of the airport’s press service.
The shortage of fuel was previously announced by the Nur-Sultan air harbor and SCAT airlines. The carrier said that its stocks of jet fuel had reached a critical level.
The Ministry of Energy later reported that in early September they warned airports and airlines about the planned repairs at POCR.
