Deputy Chairman of the Security Council Taalatbek Masadykov on November 4 at an international conference on the situation in Afghanistan spoke about the position of the Kyrgyz authorities towards the Taliban.
“The position of our country: today, like the overwhelming majority of representatives of the international community, we are not yet raising or discussing the issue of recognition [of the Taliban government]. But we are talking about the need to conduct dialogue and consultations with representatives of the de facto Taliban government in Afghanistan, ”Masadykov said.
The Deputy Chairman of the Security Council stressed that the talks are now “vital for everyone.”
“Any conflicts in the world, including big wars, were resolved only at the negotiating table. Today I think it is wrong to leave the de facto government [of Afghanistan] in isolation,” Masadykov said.
