Armenian Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan, in a Facebook post today, has called for the removal of Azerbaijani troops from Armenian roads and villages, calling their presence a gross human rights violation.
Last week, Azerbaijani troops set up customs checkpoints along a 21-kilometer section of the road linking Kapan and Goris. Today, Azerbaijani troops set up border and customs checkpoints along the Kapan-Chakaten section of the roadway.
“Near our villages and on the roads are the same Azerbaijani services that tortured and killed our servicemen and civilians during the war and were not punished for that. This threat has not disappeared,” Tatoyan wrote.
