President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko and Acting Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel held a telephone conversation. The Pool of the First Telegram channel informs about this, BelTA informs.
It is obvious that the parties discussed ways of resolving the current acute migration crisis on the border of Belarus with the EU, and in particular with Poland.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed the opinion that Angela Merkel and Alexander Lukashenko are ready to talk with each other, and expressed the hope that this will happen in the near future, since migrants are striving specifically for Germany.
On November 13, press secretary of the President of Belarus Natalya Eismont, commenting on the possibility of such a conversation, told RIA Novosti that the Belarusian side is always ready for a dialogue with European politicians on resolving the migration crisis and did not initiate its destruction.
