Georgia’s trade deficit at $4.567 bln in January-October of 2021-Statistics Office
Georgia’s trade deficit was $4.567 billion in January-October 2021 compared with $3.729 billion in the same period in 2020 and $4.047 billion in January-September this year, the National Statistics Office said.
The country’s trade turnover totalled $11.352 billion, 23 percent more than in the first ten months of 2020. In January-September of 2021, the trade turnover was $10.010 billion.
Exports equalled $3.392 billion, 24.9 percent up from January-October 2020, while imports stood at $7.960 billion, 22.3 percent more than in the same period last year.
The country’s trade deficit in 2020 was $818.6 million, up from $790 million in 2019.
