US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken has announced a list of countries that are involved in or tolerate violations of religious freedom. This was reported on the website of the US Department of State.
In the list of 10 countries that violate religious freedoms, Tajikistan appears along with Burma, China, Eritrea, Iran, North Korea, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Turkmenistan and Russia; she was listed this year.
It is noted that the listed countries are of particular concern to the State Department because of the “systematic, continuing, flagrant violation of freedom of religion.”
The special list includes Algeria, the Comoros, Cuba, Nicaragua, which, according to the US Foreign Ministry, commit or have committed “serious violations of freedom of religion.” Russia was on this list last year.
