Senate deputy Murat Baktiyaruly during the discussion of amendments to the bill “On taxes and other obligatory payments to the budget” raised the issue of introducing a luxury tax. This was reported by the correspondent of  the Kapital.kz business information center.

“The President in his Address in 2019 said that, despite the growth of GDP and incomes of the population, the process of property classification remains in society, which is an alarming factor, so it needs to be given special attention. Indeed, we are seeing a widening gap between the rich and the poor. In this regard, I believe that the introduction of a special luxury tax is a very urgent problem. I think this will create a fair taxation system for luxury items such as expensive luxury real estate, airplanes, yachts, expensive cars, jewellery, ”said the senator.
