Intensified security and protection measures are underway on the state border with Belarus  , and air monitoring of territories is underway .

The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine informs about it .

The service reminded that, given the potential risks of aggravation of the situation, the main stage of the joint special border operation “Polissya” began on the evening of November 23. A three-tier management system with an Interagency Coordination Headquarters, regional headquarters and coordination groups has been established to manage the operation.

“At the staff meeting yesterday (November 24), representatives of all involved parties once again discussed the implementation of joint actions. In addition, taking into account the experience of EU countries, the development of regulatory documents that will allow rapid and effective response to current threats at the border. – it is said in the message.

The SBGS informs that as part of the operation in the border areas and at the border, joint patrols with representatives of the National Guard and the National Police are on duty, additional checkpoints have been set up and access roads to the border are being patrolled.

“It should be noted that at present certain reserves are being strengthened in all oblasts bordering Belarus and the arrangement of their locations is underway. Measures are also being taken to strengthen the border in the areas of probable offenses, and the necessary engineering groups have been formed,” the State Border Guard Service said.
