Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan within the framework of the third Forum of Interregional Cooperation, held today in Turkestan, signed 54 investment and commercial contracts totaling $ 611.3 million, the Podrobno.uz correspondent reports citing data from the government of Kazakhstan.
The documents are aimed at developing cooperation in the fields of mechanical engineering, the agro-industrial complex, the production of building materials, electrical products, medical products, infrastructure development and others.
Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan account for about 70% of all regional trade in Central Asia. Bilateral trade in 9 months of 2021 exceeded $ 2.9 billion, which is 28.5% more than in the same period in 2020.
