Yesterday in Geneva, the head of state, Kassym Zhomart Tokayev, held a number of meetings and negotiations, Akorda reports.
With the President of Switzerland, Guy Parmeland, he discussed the state and prospects of the Kazakh-Swiss multifaceted cooperation in the political, trade, economic, investment and financial spheres. The leaders of the two countries considered interaction within the framework of the Bretton Woods institutions, international organizations, touched upon issues of the regional agenda, including the situation in Afghanistan and the provision of humanitarian assistance to this country. They also exchanged views on countering the pandemic, climate change, water diplomacy in Central Asia.
“Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Guy Parmelan noted with satisfaction the active dynamics of political and economic contacts, confirming their desire to further strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation across the entire spectrum of bilateral ties. The head of state noted that he attaches particular importance to the development of comprehensive relations with Switzerland and considers this country as an important political and economic partner in Europe,” the Akorda website says.
