By December 10, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky will submit to the Verkhovna Rada a bill on the economic passport of Ukrainians, which provides for the opening of personal accounts for children, which will accumulate payments for the use of subsoil.
According to an UNIAN correspondent, the head of state stated this in his annual address to parliament on the internal and external situation in Ukraine.
According to him, the basis for financing this initiative will be the adopted bill №5600, which increases the fee for the use of natural resources of Ukraine.
“We will direct these funds to our children. Therefore, by December 10, for the first time in the history of our independence, I will introduce a bill on the economic passport of Ukrainians. According to him, these funds – fees for the use of our subsoil – will accumulate “Once they reach adulthood, children will be able to use these savings to get an education or buy their own homes. Thanks to these two laws, our oligarchs will finally become real investors in our children’s future. And this will be the first time since our independence,” he said.
Improving the efficiency of economic resources:
On November 30, the Verkhovna Rada passed a law amending the Tax Code, which will balance budget revenues by improving the efficiency of the country’s economic resources.
According to the explanatory note to the document, its purpose is to ensure the balance of budget revenues by improving the efficiency of the country’s economic resources, as well as eliminating gaps in current legislation.
The bill, in particular, provides for an increase in the rate of excise tax on alcoholic beverages, environmental tax and rent for the use of radio frequency resources of Ukraine.
