More than 117 thousand Russians from vulnerable categories in the labor market can be employed in 2022 thanks to the employment subsidy program. This was reported to reporters on Monday in the press service of the Ministry of Labor.
“The Ministry of Labor has presented for public discussion a new program for subsidizing hiring. The program is designed to employ more than 117 thousand young people from vulnerable categories in the labor market,” the ministry said with reference to the draft resolution of the Russian government.
The press service noted that not only legal entities and individual entrepreneurs, but also socially oriented non-profit organizations can now count on a subsidy from the state.
“The main condition for obtaining subsidies is the employment of young people under 30, who find it difficult to find work without the help of the state. These are young people without professional education, applicants under the age of 30 with minor children, citizens with disabilities under 30, orphans, those who are or were registered with the commission on juvenile affairs, “the department added.
The Employment Subsidy Program, launched in 2021, provides employer subsidies in the amount of three minimum wages. To receive a subsidy, an employer must send an application through the personal account of the Work in Russia portal and indicate a list of vacant jobs and vacant positions. The employer will receive the first subsidy in the amount of the minimum wage after the first month, the second minimum wage in three months, the third minimum wage in another three.
