President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev reminded of the sacred significance of independence for our people, Kazinform correspondent reports.

“With the development and strengthening of independence, our people are more and more aware of its invaluable sacred significance, as our eternal heritage. It is our sacred duty to preserve independence for future generations who will surpass our achievements. The current generation of leaders of the country will do everything possible to open up, first of all, for young people, broad prospects for all-round growth in various areas of public life, “said Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev at a solemn event dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Independence.

Earlier, the Head of State outlined the achievements of Kazakhstan over the years of independence.

“Our country has achieved serious success in the development of regions, transport infrastructure, and the social sphere. 13 thousand kilometers of highways and 2,700 kilometers of railways have been built and reconstructed, ”said Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev.
