More than 60% of working citizens in Armenia have already been vaccinated against Covid-19, Health Minister Anahit Avanesyan said at a press briefing on Thursday.
“This means that the restrictive measures taken by the authorities have had a positive impact, and citizens are actively being vaccinated. Certainly, this fact will have a very important impact on the formation of herd immunity,” she said.
Earlier this month, the Ministry of Health amended the sanitary and epidemiological rules to reduce the risk of coronavirus spread. Under the amended rules, unvaccinated employees must provide their employers with a certificate valid for 72 hours every 7 days confirming their negative PCR coronavirus test taken at their own expense.
