President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, speaking at an extraordinary meeting of the CSTO Collective Security Council, which took place on January 10 online, drew the heads of the organization’s countries to the existence of “dormant cells” of terrorists, the press service of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan reports.
“The head of state drew the attention of the Council members to the presence of dormant cells of international terrorism, extremism and radicalism in the CSTO member states, as well as their efforts to attract and promote among citizens. In this context, Emomali Rahmon called for strengthening the comprehensive interaction of the competent authorities of the CSTO member states in the face of these challenges and threats,” the message says.
The President of Tajikistan also expressed his opinion on a number of initiatives, including the need to develop a system for protecting the information space.
