Azerbaijan central bank’s currency reserves rise to $7.075 bln in 2021
Azerbaijan’s central bank said its foreign currency reserves rose to $7.075 billion as of December 31 from $6.369 at the beginning of the last year.
In December alone, the central bank’s foreign currency reserves rose by 0.8 percent or by $56.7 million.
“The growth of the central bank’s reserves in 2021 was due to the receipt of the International Monetary Fund’s funds in the amount of 375.4 million SDR ($0.53 billion)”, the bank said in a statement.
