Human rights defenders of Kyrgyzstan made an appeal to the UN, OSCE, the European Union and a number of organizations because of the detention of Kyrgyzstanis in Kazakhstan during rallies.

They are concerned about violations of laws and massive violations of human rights in Kazakhstan. According to them, facts are already known about the detention of young men by Kazakh border guards on the basis of Kyrgyz citizenship during the border crossing.

“According to information, citizens of Kyrgyzstan are being beaten right at the place of detention. These actions are carried out with the aim of fabricating ‘evidence’ of the participation of so-called ‘foreign terrorists’ in the riots in the cities of Kazakhstan,” the human rights activists believe.
