From May 1, 2021, according to protocol No. 39, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan held 8 meetings of the topographic commission to clarify the border and described 81 km of the border, Orif Khodjazoda, chairman of the State Committee for Land Administration and Geodesy of Tajikistan, said at a press conference in Dushanbe.
According to him, since October last year, the work of the commission was suspended for some reason, but should soon resume work.
“Today, out of 970 kilometers of the common border with Kyrgyzstan, 519 km have been clarified. Further work will be carried out continuously to resolve all issues related to the problems of delimitation and demarcation of the border,” he said.
At the same time, Khojazoda, who also heads the printing commission, added that the interests of both sides, both Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan, will be taken into account in the work of the commission.
