Remittances to Georgia rise 13% yr/yr to $169 mln in January-central bank
Remittances to Georgia rose 12.7 percent year-on-year to $168.8 million in January, the country’s central bank said.
Italy ranks first among countries with $33.3 million of money transfers, followed by Russia ($22.4 million) and the United States ($20.3 million).
In the first month of the year, $23.3 million were sent abroad from Georgia, 35.3 percent more than in January 2021.
