Minister of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy Azamat Zhamankulov announced on February 19 that five new ski bases are planned to be built in the Issyk-Kul region. He spoke about this at the annual charity festival “Kyrgyzstan – the country of skiing and winter recreation – 2022”, which takes place at the ZIL ski base.
According to him, according to the Ski Cluster project in the Issyk-Kul region, approximately five sites have been identified where new ski bases will be built.
“There are now enough ski resorts in the Chui region, but there is only one in Issyk-Kul, so it is planned to pay attention there next year,” the minister said.
He also said that 1 billion soms were allocated for the development of tourism in Kyrgyzstan this year. They will be sent to allocate land and search for investors.
