The Ministry of Defense of Belarus officially declares that mobilization is not carried out in the republic at present.

The agency also denied information about the alleged ban on leaving the country for men aged 18 to 60 years.

With regard to mobilization, the summons for “carrying out certain activities” can be received by reserve soldiers or conscripts who have reached the appropriate age (for example, spring conscription).

Leonid Kasinsky, the head of the main department of ideological work of the Ministry of Defense, informed about this on the air of the STV channel.

He noted that in Belarus they will be drafted into the army in April and May – young Belarusians of military age are already receiving summonses.

According to the representative of the department, this has nothing to do with the events taking place in Ukraine.
