In the offices of Kazakhtelecom in Almaty and the capital, the anti-corruption service conducts searches, and the chairman of the board of the company is only a witness in a criminal case, head of the anti-corruption service Olzhas Bektenov told reporters on the sidelines of the parliament.
“Naturally, since the investigation is underway, it is necessary to carry out search activities, including in Kazakhtelecom. They are held both in Almaty and here, in Astana,” Bektenov said.
Kuanyshbek Yesekeyev was interrogated the day before as a witness in a criminal case on embezzlement, in which Kairat Satybaldy is suspected.
“He is the current leader, he is not yet on trial with us. He was interrogated as a witness,” said the head of the anti-corruption service.
