Remittances to Georgia rise 14% yr/yr to $183 mln in February-central bank
Remittances to Georgia rose 13.7 percent year-on-year to $183.4 million in February, the country’s central bank said.
Italy ranks first among countries with $32.96 million of money transfers, followed by Russia ($21.94 million) and the United States ($21.10 million).
In the second month of the year, $26.7 million were sent abroad from Georgia, 27.5 percent more than in February 2021.
In January, remittances to Georgia rose 12.7 percent year-on-year to $168.8 million.
