Today in Mariupol there are around 160 thousand civilians.
This was stated by the mayor of Mariupol Vadim Boychenko on the air of the information telethon.
“Unfortunately, there are still quite a few people in the city of Mariupol. This figure is exactly 100,000 people. About 160,000 people, according to our estimates, are in the blocked city of Mariupol,” Boychenko said. According to him, people remain in the city, where it is impossible to live today – there is nothing: no water, no light, no heat, no connection.
He stressed that this is a genocide of Russia against the people of Ukraine, the people of Mariupol. At the same time, Boychenko added that “there is a cynical low game” when the Russian side talks about opening a corridor from Mariupol, but in fact they do not allow this corridor.
