A 5-day meeting of the topographic working groups of the government delegations of Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan on the delimitation and demarcation of the Tajik-Kyrgyz state border has ended in Dushanbe. The details of the meeting were not disclosed.
The meeting was held from 5 to 10 April this year, according to the Information Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan.
It is noted that following the results of the meeting, the relevant Protocol was signed.
“The parties agreed to hold the next meeting of the working groups on the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic,” the ministry’s website says.
In February, the chairman of the State Committee for Land Administration and Geodesy of Tajikistan, Orif Khojazoda, said at a press conference that since May 1, 2021, 8 meetings of the topographic commission had been held to clarify the border and 81 km of the border had been described.
