The Kazakhstan Halkyn Foundation plans to provide charitable assistance to the relatives of civilians killed during the January events. This was announced on Wednesday during a briefing in the central communications service by the chairman of the fund, Bolat Zhamishev.
“There was a decision of the Board of Trustees to provide charitable assistance to the relatives of the dead accidental victims of the January events and civilians. Just yesterday, we received the coordinates of the relatives of these victims in order to work with them – details, get their accounts. I think next week we will pay this assistance in accordance with the decision of the Board of Trustees,” Zhamishev said.
According to the chairman of the fund, 211 civilians died during the January events, at the moment payments have been made to the families of eight, 13 families are scheduled to receive assistance in April.
