Remittances to Georgia rise 3% yr/yr to $193 mln in March-central bank
Remittances to Georgia rose 2.6 percent year-on-year to $193.1 million in March, the country’s central bank said.
Italy ranks first among countries with $36.05 million in money transfers, followed by Russia ($27 million) and the United States ($25.64 million).
In the third month of the year, $24 million were sent abroad from Georgia, 3.6 percent less than in March 2021.
In January, remittances to Georgia rose 12.7 percent year-on-year to $168.8 million, while in February remittances rose by 13.7 percent to $183.4 million.
