Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has resigned today to pave way for snap parliamentary elections, scheduled to take place on June 20, Arka reported.
“I am resigning on Citizen’s Day (marked today), and this is symbolic because we are returning the power we received from the people back to them,” Pashinyan said in a video message.
According to Arka, he said his Civil Contract party will run in the elections and he will run as a candidate for prime minister.
