Remittances to Georgia rise 145% yr/yr to $194 mln in April
Remittances to Georgia rose 145.4 percent year-on-year to $194.1 million in April, the country’s National Bank said.
Russia ranks first with $33.4 million of money transfers, followed by Italy ($31.7 million) and the United States ($24.9 million).
In April 2021, $25.8 million were sent abroad from Georgia, which is 157.6 percent more than a year ago.
