The incident with the landing of an allegedly mined plane at the Minsk airport is completely unacceptable, News.ru reported.

All passengers on the flight should be able to fly to Vilnius. The head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, wrote about this on her official Twitter page on Sunday, May 23rd.

All passengers should be able to immediately continue their journey to Vilnius with guaranteed safety. Any violation of international air transport regulations must have consequences, she wrote.

Meanwhile, the head of the Council of Europe Charles Michel on his Twitter page called on the Belarusian authorities will immediately release the flight and all its passengers.

I am very concerned about reports of a forced landing of a Ryanair flight in Minsk. We call on the Belarusian authorities to immediately release the flight and all its passengers,  ”he said, stressing the importance of investigating the incident.
