State-run CJSC ” AzerGold” signed a contract with CJSC “Azdağmədənistismar” on 19 May for exploratory drilling, the approximate coordinates of which are once again hidden from the public, Turan reported.
According to the single portal of public e-procurement, the contract also includes the execution of field geotechnical survey and laboratory analysis, geophysical work and analysis of their results, calculation of resources and design of mining (open-pit) models within 26 months. Within the framework of this contract the private company will receive from AzerGold 21 million 68.9 thousand manats (about $ 12.4 million).
CJSC ” Azdağmədənistismar” was selected as a result of an open tender. Other bidders of the tender are not reported.
In 2017, ”Azdağmədənistismar” was awarded two contracts worth over AZN 4 million for drilling works at the Mazimchai copper-pyrrhotite deposit and geophysical surveys at the Chavdar gold mine (Dashkesan district) and the Ortakend site (Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic). In 2018, it was also awarded an exploration drilling contract worth 2.8 million manats.
In October 2020, AzerGold awarded a contract to private CJSC ” Blasto” for 26 months to conduct exploratory drilling, engineering-geological and geophysical surveys, as well as to conduct laboratory analysis and prepare initial exploitation projects. The cost of this contract was 18,994,500 manat ($11,173,000).
