Georgia’s gold export at 2.7 tonnes in 2020-Statistics Service
Georgia exported 2.7 tonnes of raw gold worth $97.5 million in 2020, the State Statistics Service said.
It said that gold exports were not significantly up amid the COVID-19 pandemic, but the revenues gained from gold sale grew by 33.9 percent year-on-year.
Georgia sold gold in four countries: Switzerland, Germany, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates.
Last year, the country imported a total of $6,000 worth of gold powder.
